Monster Cookies

I’ve been making these cookies for years (I got the recipe from a magazine-can’‘t remember which one)and they’re always a hit! The gooeyness of the chocolate chips and M&M’s do just the trick to have your guests wanting more! These are perfect for ALL those weekend BBQ’s, picnics, and pot lucks! This recipe makes enough for a crowd! So let the baking begin!

  1. In a large bowl, cream the peanut butter, butter, sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Beat in the eggs, baking soda, vanilla, and corn syrup.

2. Add oats and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and M&M’s. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.

3. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls 3 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets.

4. Bake at 350 for 14-18 min or until edges are lightly browned.

Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely.

Store in airtight container. The cookies are HUGE so I like to plate up some for family and friends a freeze a plate for those last minute get togethers!

Ingredients:

Makes: 2 1/2 dozen
2 cups creamy peanut butter               
2/3 cup butter, softened      
1-1/3 cups sugar                
1-1/3 cups packed brown sugar
4 eggs                                                  
2-1/2 tsp. baking soda           
1 tsp. vanilla extract               
1 tsp. light corn syrup
6 cups old-fashioned oats                    
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips                                             
1 cup milk choc. M&M’s

Directions:
1. In a large bowl, cream the peanut butter, butter, sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Beat in the eggs, baking soda, vanilla, and corn syrup. Add oats and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and M&M’s. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
