Baby it’s cold outside!! What a perfect time to cozy up for a hot cup of cocoa. Our Ainsley Bug loves hot cocoa and it wouldn’t be complete without my Grandma Ruebushs recipe! This is a recipe that she’s had for years and I’m excited to get to share it. When I called my Grandma for the recipe – it’s another example of how they can bring us together. I enjoyed listening to her share about making the recipe and how sharing recipes has evolved over the years. So get your cocoa cups and fuzzy blankets ready! It’s time…
1.Mix (all the ingredients) the powdered milk, Nestle Quick, Coffee Mate and powdered sugar together until combined.
2. Mix 1/2 cup of cocoa mix to 1 cup of boiling water.
That’s it! The picture below shows our favorite toppings: marshmallows, whipped cream (can kind) and don’t forget the sprinkles!
Ingredients:
10 qt. box carnation powdered milk
1 1/2 Ib of Nestle Quick
6 oz. coffee mate ( I used original, but you can use any flavor)
2/3 cup powdered sugar
Directions
1. Mix all ingredients
2. 1/2 cup of cocoa to 1 cup of hot water or milk
3. I would store this in an airtight container or dish out in jam jars for gifts!
