Valentine Puppy Chow

Eeeek Valentine’s Day is just a day away!! I thought I would get into the mood by making one of my favorite sweeet treats. Puppy Chow, but with a twist! If you like strawberry flavor then you’ve come to the right place!! This recipe is definitely taking puppy chow up a notch! And I mainly used the recipe that comes on the box, but I did change a couple of things.

1. Pour 9 cups of Chex cereal into a large bowl.
2. In a medium microwave safe bowl add in chocolate chips, butter and peanut butter
3. Put in the microwave for 30 seconds and continue with 15-20 min. intervals until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
4. Add in the vanilla and stir
5. Pour the mixture over the chex cereal and mix to coat.
6. Pour the mixture into a 2-gallon Ziploc bag
7. Pour the powdered sugar and 1/2 cup of the Strawberry Cake Mix (sprinkles if desired – they don’t stick well… but look pretty if you’re wanting to display them in a cute bowl or on a plate)
8. Shake up the mixture
