The Ultimate Hair Care…

It’s been a while since I’ve done a beauty post! I had been trying out a new shampoo and it would be a disservice if I didn’t share! My husband and I’ve used Head and Shoulders for years! Its’s cheap and we both struggle with dandruff. It never really helped that much, but we both kept using it. It wasn’t until recently that I’ve done some research and it sounds like it might not be the best option. If you don’t follow @jordanharper on Instagram you should! She has some amazing skin advice! She has a highlight on her IG page explaining why it’s not good for your scalp.

I immediately went on the hunt for something with outstanding reviews! I’ve seen time and time again Olaplex advertised by so many influencers! It’s definitely not cheap, but there are raving reviews and I was sick of my hair feeling the way it did. It felt heavy, frizzy and all that dandruff.

Like always, when it comes to trying new products I’m all about the travel sizes! I have super sensitive skin and all things beauty have to gradually be introduced into my regimen! I was glad I found a travel size set to try! I had gotten my set from Sephora. It’s currently out of stock, but I was able to find it on Amazon. If you want to go ALL in QVC has an entire set so a one stop shop! After two washes I was hooked. This really is as amazing as everyone claims! So here’s the breakdown!

I started off with the Hair Mask. I had been using Colleen Rothschild’s which is a great option as well, but I’m always up for trying something new! You can put the hair mask on damp hair and it’s recommended to leave on for 10 min. or more. So I just do all the shower things and chill for a few min. Some people even sleep in it! I’m going to have to try this!

After your 10 min. or more wash it out vigorously. I’ve been using this new scalp massager! I always feel like when I go to the salon they get your hair so clean and it always looks soooo good. I can tell you right now I never scrubbed my scalp like they do when I get my hair done. This is a must. I followed it up with the shampoo and the conditioner.

After my shower I’ve been using this smoothing cream and WOW! I can’t say enough about how frizzy my hair usually is. This entire line up has been a game changer!! Eventually I’d like to try their Bonding Oil, but it’s always sold out.

I don’t always blow dry my hair at night. If I do I usually throw it up in a clip and dry it in the morning. On the off chance I do it the night of… I never blow dry it all the way! I do the same process of throwing it up in a clip.

I only wash my hair 2x a week. I have thick and somewhat coarse hair so it works for me. I completely understand this isn’t for everyone! I’ve been using this dry shampoo spray for the past couple of months and it’s become my go to! Again, I tired out the travel size. I’ve been using this night one of washing my hair. I just lift up different sections of my hair, spray and then work it in with my hands. If you’re looking for a cheaper option I’ve used this off and on for years and it works very well too!

I’ve never been one to straighten my hair much because it takes me so much time! Curling my hair is much quicker. I’ve gotten it down to about 5 min. if my hair is dried. I’m loving this curling iron! It has great reviews, 5 settings and most often I can do one swipe to get the perfect curl! I feel like my curls last longer as well! It goes on sale quite a bit and if you know me, I didn’t buy it full price! So it’s really no more than a Chi, which I used to have and loved for straightening!
